Posting a job on CUHire.
Select "For Employers."
Go to the Carleton University Career Services home page. Then, find "For Employers" in the side menu and select it.
Click "Register for CU Hire."
Select "Register for CU Hire" at the top of the page.
Select "Employer."
You'll be redirected to the CUHire registration portal. Select "Employer" from the list on the left.
Fill in your business and personal details.
Fill out the form by entering your company and personal details. Choose a password for your account and select "Continue."
Select "Post a Job."
You'll be redirected to your CUHire account. Locate and click "Post a Job."
Select the type of job you will be posting.
A pop-up menu will appear with the category of job postings CUHire offers. Select a category and you will be redirected to the next page.
Fill in your job post.
Enter details for your job posting and be sure to check that you have included all the relevant information for prospective candidates. You can preview your job advert by selecting "Preview Posting" at the bottom of the page.
Select "Submit Posting for Approval."
This is the final step. Once you're satisfied with your job post, scroll to the bottom of the page and click "Submit Posting for Approval." Your job advert will be sent through to the CUHire team for final approval and posted on the CUHire job board.
CUHire vs. CERC Job Board:
The Community Employment Resource Centre (CERC) is a recruitment NPO that offers assistance to job seekers in Ottawa. While the CERC job board and CUHire offer similar services, CUHire has a different pool of candidates which may appeal to certain employers. Job posters looking to hire experienced professionals or tradesmen may be better off using the CERC job board.
CUHire vs. Indeed:
Indeed offers free and pay-per-application job posting options and has a wide geographical reach with its popular job board. CUHIre only focuses on candidates that attend or have attended Carleton University.
