Review:

The REIC Career Center is a useful platform for building connections in Canada's real estate industry, but it is unclear how many job seekers use it. A limited reach for job posts, a lack of security for online transactions, and no free job posting option make the REIC Career Center difficult to recommend. There are alternative real estate job boards that provide more value.

Pros:

  • The job board is great for finding niche real estate talent.
  • REIC members have a discounted price for posting a job.
  • The website provides access to useful industry news, resources, and programs for continued learning.
  • The Eblast package sends your job post directly to RAIC members.
  • The company can be contacted via phone and email.
  • Employers can choose when they want their job post to expire.

Cons:

  • There are no free job posting options.
  • The website is not available in French.
  • Job posts are not distributed to other job boards for increased exposure.
  • The platform is missing applicant tracking and candidate matching tools.

REIC Career Center vs. Real Careers:

At C$399.00 per job post, Real Careers is costlier than REIC, but the benefits of Real Careers are clear. It offers a searchable candidate resume database and bulk posting options for large companies hiring at scale. Real Careers is the more popular choice when it comes to recruiting real estate talent in Canada.

REIC Career Center vs. A.CRE Jobs:

While REIC charges C$225.00 to post a job, A.CRE Jobs charges US$99.00 and also has a free posting option. A.CRE Jobs has a searchable candidate resume database while REIC does not, and its global platform makes it easy to hire international real estate talent too. Neither job board has advanced recruiting features like applicant tracking tools.

REIC Career Center vs. Job Bank:

Despite Job Bank being a general job board, it lists more real estate jobs than REIC. Job Bank is also free to advertise, while REIC charges C$225.00 per job. Job Bank has a wider audience of job seekers, but REIC's only advantage is that it has a membership program that offers employers access to helpful resources and networking opportunities.
