Marine Mechanics are specialized mechanics that service and repair electrical and mechanical equipment on boats and ships. Marine Mechanics work on the smallest outboard motors to the largest ship engines, inspecting, servicing, and repairing faults.

When interviewing Marine Mechanics, the most suitable candidate will have in-depth knowledge of marine electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. They will also display excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to assist with electrical and plumbing issues. Be wary of candidates who cannot work out at sea, lift heavy machinery, or work in confined spaces.
