Also referred to as software testers, test analysts recommend and oversee the testing procedures required for analyzing problems with computer software. Test analysts should be actively engaged in all phases of the software diagnostics and development of the project.

When interviewing test analysts, the ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and organizational skills and enthusiasm for ironing out software bugs and glitches. Be wary of candidates who do not have an inquiring mind and who prefer to work alone.

5. How do you deal with conflict that arises between members of your team?

Evaluates the candidate’s interpersonal and conflict resolution skills as the team leader.
